LVD PPEB 135/40 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the LVD PPEB 135/40 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from LVD or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The LVD PPEB 135/40 is a four-metre press brake with 1,350 kN, an 11,000 kg (24,250 lb) machine on a 15 kW motor. Working length is 4,000 mm (157.5 in).

It is the strongest four-metre PPEB that keeps the small hydraulic unit. The next size, the PPEB 170/40, moves to a 22 kW motor and a 350 L tank and weighs 13,500 kg. For a workshop where the electrical connection or the floor is the constraint, that line matters. Within the 15 kW group this model is the brisk one in the bend, at 15 mm/s. The PPEB 110/40 works at 12 mm/s. Approach is 130 mm/s and return 115 mm/s on both.

What can it do with 1,350 kN on four metres? At full length, thin to medium sheet. On shorter parts the table rating of 2,000 kN/m allows the force to be concentrated, so a one-metre part in heavier gauge is within reach.

The uprights are 3,150 mm (124.0 in) apart and the gap is 400 mm (15.7 in). Stroke and open height are 200 mm (7.9 in) and 400 mm. The table is 120 mm (4.7 in) wide, at a working height of 970 mm (38.2 in). Oil volume is 250 L at 290 bar.

LVD's automatic crowning is standard on the PPEB-5 and PPEB-8 versions, and at four metres it is worth insisting on.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 1,350 kN over 4,000 mm (157.5 in) on a 15 kW motor
  • 15 mm/s working speed, above the 12 mm/s of the PPEB 110/40
  • 11,000 kg (24,250 lb), lighter than the PPEB 170/40
  • Table rated at 2,000 kN/m for concentrated loads
  • Automatic crowning on PPEB-5 and PPEB-8

Limitations

  • Return stroke runs at 115 mm/s
  • 3,150 mm (124.0 in) between uprights; the PPEB 135/42 has 3,820 mm
  • 200 mm (7.9 in) stroke as listed
  • Crowning depends on the version ordered

Best For

Four-metre sheet work on a limited power supply Mixed long thin parts and short heavier ones General fabrication with a floor-level installation

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What changes with the next size up?

The PPEB 170/40 has 1,700 kN, a 22 kW motor, a 350 L tank and a 160 mm/s return, and weighs 13,500 kg. This model has 1,350 kN, 15 kW, 250 L and a 115 mm/s return at 11,000 kg.

02 Is the PPEB 135/40 faster than the PPEB 110/40?

In the bend, yes: 15 mm/s against 12 mm/s for the PPEB 110/40. Approach and return speeds, motor, tank and weight are the same for the two.

03 What does crowning do on this machine?

It offsets the deflection of ram and table so the angle is the same along the bend. LVD's wedge system is machined for the individual machine and is standard on PPEB-5 and PPEB-8 versions.

04 How much clear width is there?

3,150 mm (124.0 in) between the uprights, plus a 400 mm (15.7 in) gap in each side frame for parts up to the full working length.
