Overview
Heavy parts and heavy cuts meet in the Johnford VMC-1600HD. Of the two HD machines with 850 mm of Y, this is the one with the mass to match the spindle. It weighs 17,500 kg (38,500 lb), against 13,500 kg (29,700 lb) for the VMC-1300HD, and its 1,800 x 750 mm (70.9 x 29.5 in) table leaves room to clamp a long casting with the cutter still able to run off both ends.
