Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Jainnher M60 CNC Cylindrical Roll Grinder that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Jainnher M60 is a CNC cylindrical roll grinding machine for rolls up to 600 mm (23.6 in) in diameter and 4,000 kg (8,818 lb), built with 3, 4, 5 or 6 m (9.8, 13.1, 16.4 or 19.7 ft) between centers.
It is the first type in the range with the full-size wheel head. The wheel is listed as Ø910 x Ø304.8 x 75 mm, runs from 300 to 1,200 rpm and has a 20 HP (14.9 kW) motor. A wheel of that diameter lasts through long traverses on hard rolls and keeps its surface speed as it wears. The spindle is Ni-Cr-Mo alloy steel in a hydrodynamic bearing, and Jainnher drives it through a pulley arrangement meant to keep motor belt strain off the spindle.
Speed along the roll doubles compared with the S40. The table traverses at 25 to 6,000 mm/min and cross feed reaches 2,000 mm/min, still in 0.001 mm pulses. On a 6 m (19.7 ft) roll that difference decides how many passes fit in a shift.
Crowning is where a roll grinder's control earns its place. The operator calls a program from memory, and the crown, whether a sine, cosine, CVC or combined arc curve, is generated from a camber value in that program. Jainnher adds that the system has a network function for moving cutting data and machine parameters in and out.
Coolant volume depends on the bed: 360 L on the 3M and 4M machines and 420 L on the 5M and 6M. The headstock turns at 8 to 80 rpm and takes an MT#6 center.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Ø910 wheel with a 20 HP (14.9 kW) motor and a 300 to 1,200 rpm range
- Table traverse of 25 to 6,000 mm/min and cross feed up to 2,000 mm/min
- Beds from 3 to 6 m (9.8 to 19.7 ft) between centers
- Programmed crown curves and a network function for cutting data
- Carries 4,000 kg (8,818 lb) on MT#6 centers
Limitations
- Wheel width is 75 mm, so wide rolls take many traverses
- Coolant capacity is 360 L or 420 L, small beside the 2,000 L of the H130
- Tailstock is positioned manually on this type
- Roll caliper, auto balancing and linear encoder are optional

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Maximum swing over the table and maximum ground diameter are 600 mm (23.6 in), with a grinding range of 15 to 600 mm (0.6 to 23.6 in). Maximum workpiece weight is 4,000 kg (8,818 lb). Distance between centers is 3, 4, 5 or 6 m (9.8, 13.1, 16.4 or 19.7 ft).
02
Jainnher prints the wheel as Ø910 x Ø304.8 x 75 mm under a heading of O.D. x width x bore, so the order of the last two figures differs from the heading. Wheel speed is 300 to 1,200 rpm and the grind wheel motor is 20 HP (14.9 kW).
03
Table travel speed is 25 to 6,000 mm/min. The maximum cross feed rate of the wheel head is 2,000 mm/min, with a cross feed of 0.001 mm per pulse. Both the table and the wheel head use a hydrostatic and dynamic lubrication system.
04
Jainnher lists base arc, sine, cosine, CVC and combined arc curves. The camber value is assigned in the program, and the operator recalls a stored program to run the sequence. A special curve grinding program is available as an option.
