Price estimate
We do not have a price for the HNK NT-16/20F that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
A 1,600 mm (63.0 in) table under a fixed cross rail: that is the HNK NT-16/20F. Swing and cutting diameter reach 2,000 mm (78.7 in), but the turning height is 900 mm (35.4 in), the same figure as the smaller NT-12/16F. It is a wide, low machine.
That shape suits a particular kind of part. Slewing rings, large flanges, gear blanks and tyre-mould segments are far wider than they are tall, and they do not need a rail that climbs. For those the fixed rail gives the largest swing in the NT series without a rail-positioning axis. Above this size every NT has a stepped rail.
Table load is 10,000 kg (22,046 lb) and the turning speed peaks at about 250 rpm in two steps. The A.C 37/45 kW (49.6/60.3 hp) table motor (cont/30min) is the one fitted to the NT-12/16F too, so here it turns a larger table at a lower top speed.
Ram head travel is -200 to +1,170 mm (-7.9 to +46.1 in) in X and 900 mm (35.4 in) in Z, with a 200 x 200 mm (7.9 x 7.9 in) ram and 40 x 40 mm (1.6 x 1.6 in) shanks. Controls listed are Fanuc 31i-B and Siemens 840D. The NT-16/20 is the alternative when parts stand up to 1,660 mm (65.4 in).

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Largest fixed-rail machine in the NT series: 2,000 mm (78.7 in) swing
- 10,000 kg (22,046 lb) on a 1,600 mm (63.0 in) table
- X travel out to +1,170 mm (+46.1 in) and 200 mm past centre
- Same control choice as the rest of the series: Fanuc 31i-B, Siemens 840D
Limitations
- 900 mm (35.4 in) turning height; the NT-16/20 offers 1,660 mm (65.4 in)
- Top table speed of about 250 rpm, lower than the about 360 rpm of the NT-12/16F
- Still the 200 x 200 mm (7.9 x 7.9 in) ram of the smallest NT machines

Frequently Asked Questions
01
HNK lists a maximum swing and cutting diameter of 2,000 mm (78.7 in) over a 1,600 mm (63.0 in) table. The ram head travels to +1,170 mm (+46.1 in) from centre in X, which covers the full radius.
02
Because the cross rail is a fixed type. HNK gives 900 mm (35.4 in) as the maximum turning height, and the row is star-marked, so a different height can be agreed at order. For a movable rail in this table size, the NT-16/20 steps 250 mm (9.8 in) x 3 and reaches 1,660 mm (65.4 in).
03
The maximum load on the table is 10,000 kg (22,046 lb). That figure has to cover the part, the jaws or fixture, and any risers used to lift the part off the table.
04
An A.C motor rated 37/45 kW (49.6/60.3 hp), cont/30min, through what HNK labels a two-step table speed range with a maximum of about 250 rpm. Both the speed and its range are items HNK will alter to requirement.
