Overview
The HNK HPF-20H (20x60) is a six-metre plate mill in all but name: a fixed-crossrail double column machine with a 2,000 x 6,000 mm (78.7 x 236.2 in) table, 6,250 mm (246.1 in) of X travel and a 6,000 rpm spindle.
Plate and panel work comes in stock sizes, and two by six metres is one of them. A full plate can be laid on this table and machined edge to edge: sealing grooves, port openings, hole patterns and lightening pockets. With the spindle end never more than 1,000 mm (39.4 in) from the table and an 800 mm (31.5 in) ram stroke, tools stay short and stiff.
