Overview
The HNK HPF-20M (20x40) is a fixed-crossrail double column machining center with a 2,000 x 4,000 mm (78.7 x 157.5 in) table, a 20,000 kg (44,092 lb) rating and a 3,000 rpm spindle.
Two by four metres with twenty tonnes is the classic job-shop bridge mill. It takes machine bases, tool plates, weldments and castings of ordinary industrial size, and most of that work is under a metre tall, well inside the 1,200 mm (47.2 in) maximum between table and spindle end. HNK labels the series multi-purpose and highly efficient, and a fixed rail contributes to the second claim: there is one less axis to position and clamp on every set-up.
