Overview

The Haas VF-14/50 combines the two upgrades Haas offers on its 150 in (3,810 mm) VF bed: 40 in (1,016 mm) of Y travel and a 50-taper geared spindle. Travels are 150 × 40 × 30 in (3,810 × 1,016 × 762 mm), and the 2-speed gearbox gives 340 ft-lbf (460 N·m) at 700 rpm with a 7,500 rpm top speed. Haas lists a starting price of US$476,995.

Each upgrade is available alone. The VF-12/50 has this spindle with 32 in (813 mm) of Y, and the VF-14/40 has this Y travel with an 8,100 rpm 40-taper spindle making 90 ft-lbf (122 N·m) at 2,000 rpm. Haas lists the VF-12/50 and the VF-14/40 at the same starting price, US$433,995.
