Overview

The Haas ST-15LY combines three things on one machine: a spindle with 2.5 in (64 mm) of bar capacity, a bed with 32.5 in (826 mm) of Z travel and a Y axis with ± 2 in (± 51 mm) of travel. The chuck is 8.3 in (210 mm), the main spindle is 20 hp (14.9 kW) with a 4,000 rpm limit, and BMT45 live tools run to 4,000 rpm as well.

Its closest neighbour is the ST-10LY, which has the same bed, the same Y travel and the same 10,000 lb (4,536 kg) shipping weight.
