Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Fooke ENDURA 700LINEAR that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Fooke ENDURA 700LINEAR is a compact 5-axis gantry milling machine with linear motors in X, Y and Z, built on a closed machine bed. It is offered in four X lengths, 1,500 / 2,200 / 4,000 / 5,500 mm, and three Y widths, 2,000 / 2,800 / 3,500 mm, with 1,500 mm (59.1 in) of Z in every case. Fooke describes the design as proven since 2004 and continuously optimized.
Speed is the headline. All three linear axes are listed with feed rates of 5 - 90,000 mm/min and acceleration up to 5 m/sec², the highest feed figures among the compact ENDURA models; the Fooke ENDURA 900LINEAR Compact lists 5 - 65,000 mm/min. Position accuracy is 0.015 mm per axis with a position scatter of 0.010 mm.
That speed is paired with a wide choice of spindle. The page lists milling heads 4, 11 and 15. For milling head 4 the maker's head brochure gives an HSK-A63 spindle with 42 kW, 24,000 rpm and 67 Nm, or one with 63 kW, 30,000 rpm and 31 Nm. Milling head 11 is lighter: 20 kW at 30,000 rpm with 21.5 Nm, or 34 kW at 24,000 rpm with 40 Nm. So the same frame can be set up for finishing plastics and composites or for high-speed cutting of aluminium, and Fooke also names HSC machining of cast iron and steel.
Installation is simpler than the size suggests. Fooke states that a steel-reinforced industrial floor approx. 300 mm thick is sufficient and that no special foundation is required. The X travel can be extended as an XL version.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Feed rates of 5 - 90,000 mm/min in X, Y and Z with acceleration up to 5 m/sec²
- Position accuracy of 0.015 mm and position scatter of 0.010 mm in all three linear axes
- Twelve travel combinations from the listed X and Y options, all with 1,500 mm (59.1 in) of Z
- Milling head 4 takes a 42 kW, 24,000 rpm, 67 Nm spindle or a 63 kW, 30,000 rpm, 31 Nm spindle
- No special foundation: a steel-reinforced industrial floor approx. 300 mm thick is sufficient
Limitations
- Z travel is fixed at 1,500 mm (59.1 in) whatever X and Y are chosen
- The strongest spindle listed for milling head 4 has 67 Nm, so heavy roughing in steel is limited
- Automatic tool changing, coolant systems and the sound insulation enclosure are optional equipment
- The page gives no table load, machine weight or connected power

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The technical data lists X-axis travels of 1,500 / 2,200 / 4,000 / 5,500 mm and Y-axis travels of 2,000 / 2,800 / 3,500 mm. Z is 1,500 mm (59.1 in). Fooke adds that the modular design allows the X travel to be extended as an XL version.
02
Feed rates are 5 - 90,000 mm/min in each linear axis and acceleration is up to 5 m/sec². Position accuracy is listed as 0.015 mm in X, Y and Z, and position scatter as 0.010 mm. All axes, including C and A, have direct measuring systems.
03
The page lists milling heads 4, 11 and 15. Fooke's milling head brochure gives head 4 with HSK-A63 spindles of 42 kW, 24,000 rpm and 67 Nm or 63 kW, 30,000 rpm and 31 Nm, and head 11 with 20 kW, 30,000 rpm and 21.5 Nm or 34 kW, 24,000 rpm and 40 Nm. Spindle figures for head 15 are not in this page's table.
04
No special foundation, according to Fooke. Because the machine bed is inherently rigid, a standard steel-reinforced industrial floor approx. 300 mm thick is sufficient, and the machine is set up and aligned on fixators bolted to the floor.
05
Fooke lists plastics, CFRP/GFRP, modeling block material, aluminum, cast iron and steel. It describes the machine as particularly suitable for 5-sided finishing of plastics, composites, block materials and aluminum, and for HSC machining of cast iron and steel.
