How much does the Feeler HT-30MC cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler HT-30MC that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Feeler HT-30MC is the base model of the HT turn-and-mill series: a 10 in chuck slant-bed lathe with a 12-station servo-driven turret, built for parts that need milling and drilling as well as turning. Maximum turning diameter is φ356 mm (φ14.0 in) and turning length 705 mm (27.8 in).
In Feeler's naming the MC model is the one without the Y axis and without the second spindle; the HT-30Y and HT-30SY add those. That makes this the choice for on-centre milled features: cross holes through the axis, flats and keyways cut with the tool on the centreline, bolt circles drilled in the face using spindle indexing. Off-centre pockets and true flat-bottomed keyways are where a Y axis becomes necessary.
The main spindle has an A2-8 nose, listed as JIS A2-8, a φ88 mm bore and φ78 mm bar capacity, and runs to 3,500 rpm. X travel is 260 mm (10.2 in). A tailstock with an MT-5 taper supports shaft work, and Feeler says the tailstock is servo-driven for rapid, responsive positioning.
The bed is a 30-degree inclined design on a box way base, which the maker credits with torsional rigidity and with clearing chips and coolant. The turret locates on a ∅250 mm curved-tooth clutch. A fully enclosed cover is part of the description. The longitudinal travel rows in Feeler's HT table are mislabelled, so this page does not quote a Z travel; ask the maker for it along with the driven-tool speed and power.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 12-station servo-driven turret with a ∅250 mm curved-tooth clutch
- φ78 mm bar capacity through a φ88 mm spindle bore
- 705 mm (27.8 in) turning length with a servo-driven MT-5 tailstock
- 30-degree inclined bed on a box way base
- Turning and milling on one machine, as Feeler describes the series
Limitations
- No Y axis on this model, so off-centre milling is not possible
- Spindle speed is 3,500 rpm
- Driven-tool speed and power are not published
- The maker's table has mislabelled travel rows, so Z travel needs confirming

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The table shows the same chuck, turning diameter, turning length and X travel for all three. The HT-30Y is the Y-axis model. The HT-30SY has paired values for bar capacity, spindle speed and spindle nose, and no tailstock taper, which indicates a second spindle.
02
A 10 in (254 mm) chuck, φ356 mm (φ14.0 in) maximum turning diameter, 705 mm (27.8 in) maximum turning length and φ78 mm bar capacity. X travel is 260 mm (10.2 in).
03
A 12-station servo-driven turret. Feeler says it offers high rigidity and fast tool change and is paired with a ∅250 mm curved-tooth clutch for precise positioning. The tool interface type is not named for the HT series.
04
Feeler describes a 30-degree inclined bed with box way base that enhances torsional rigidity and support stability while improving chip and coolant evacuation.
