Overview
The Ermak ETP-S 1500x2000 is the compact, fast model among Ermak's servo-electric turret punch presses. Sheet capacity is 2,000 x 1,500 mm (78.7 x 59.1 in), the press is rated at 20 Ton and the turret has 27 stations.
Speed sets it apart from the rest of the ETP-S table. Each axis moves at 120 m/min and the combined speed is 170 m/min. The turret also turns faster, at 27 rpm. On nibbling and dense hole patterns in small sheets, positioning time is most of the cycle, and this model has the least of it.
The punch rates tell a mixed story. Marking is 1,500 strokes/min and the 1 mm step rate is 900 strokes/min, but at a 25 mm step the rate is 350 strokes/min, lower than the longer machines.
The 27-station turret is arranged as 11 A, 10 B, 1 C and 2 D fixed stations, plus two B and one C auto-index stations, according to Ermak's layout. Note that the largest auto-index station is therefore a C station.
It is the smallest machine of the series: 4,290 mm wide, 5,520 mm long, 16,000 kg (35,273 lb). The table takes sheets up to 125 kg (276 lb). Power supply is 40 kW (53.6 hp).
