DN Solutions HM 800

The DN Solutions HM 800 is a large-format horizontal machining center in the HM series, designed for heavy-duty machining of large castings, structural components, and industrial parts that require the combination of high torque, generous travel, and robust fixturing capacity. With axis travels of 1,600 x 1,100 x 1,100 mm (63 x 43 x 43 in) and an 800 x 800 mm (31 x 31 in) pallet supporting up to 2,000 kg (4,409 lb), the HM 800 handles large workpieces that exceed the capacity of 630mm-class machines.

The ISO 50 spindle delivers 26 kW (35 hp) with up to 2,000 Nm (1,475 ft-lb) of torque at 6,000 RPM, purpose-built for heavy roughing with large-diameter face mills, boring bars, and shell mills in steel and cast iron. The high-torque, lower-speed spindle philosophy prioritizes material removal rate over surface speed—the right approach for the large structural and industrial parts this machine targets. Rapid traverse of 24 m/min (945 ipm) on all axes reflects the machine's heavy-duty orientation over high-speed production.

The 60-tool magazine provides capacity for complex parts requiring many tools, and the dual-pallet changer enables production continuity for large part runs. At approximately 25,000 kg (55,116 lb), the HM 800 is built on massive castings with box guideways that provide the vibration damping and load-carrying capacity essential for heavy-duty horizontal machining. The FANUC 0i-Plus control manages the machine's capabilities while keeping operation straightforward. The HM 800 competes with the Mazak HCN-8800, Okuma MA-800HII, and Toyoda FH800SX in the large-format HMC segment.
