Overview
The Citizen Miyano BNE-51MSY is a two-spindle, two-turret fixed-headstock lathe made for short parts from 51 mm bar: Citizen gives a maximum machining length of 90 mm. Both spindles take 51 mm bar and run to 5,000 rpm, and each of the two 12-station turrets, HD1 and HD2, can hold up to 12 revolving tools.
The axis layout explains how the work is shared. HD1 moves 195 mm in X1 and 380 mm in Z1 and has the machine's Y axis, 80 (±40) mm. HD2 has 195 mm of X2 and 175 mm of Z2, and the table gives it no Y stroke.
