Overview
A 5,020 x 2,010 mm (197.6 x 79.1 in) table rated for 15,000 kg (33,069 lb) is the centre of the AWEA LP-5021. It sits under a bridge with 2,300 mm (90.6 in) between the columns, and the travels are 5,000 mm (196.9 in) in X, 2,100 mm (82.7 in) in Y and, as standard, 760 mm (29.9 in) in Z.
Tall work is where the specification needs close reading. In standard form the spindle nose stands 240 ~ 1,000 mm (9.4 ~ 39.4 in) above the table. Order one of the optional Z strokes of 1,000, 1,200 or 1,400 mm and the table gives 200 ~ 1,200 mm, 200 ~ 1,400 mm and 200 ~ 1,600 mm. Tools can be up to 350 mm (13.8 in) long, and every millimetre of tool comes off the height left for the part. Decide the Z stroke from the tallest fixture stack you expect.

The standard magazine has 32 pockets. Magazines of 60, 90 and 120 tools are options. Each tool can weigh up to 20 kg (44 lb) and measure up to Ø127 mm (Ø5.0 in), or Ø215 mm (Ø8.5 in) if the pockets on both sides stay empty.

AWEA marks spindle thermal compensation as an option and lists adoptive feed control ( AFC ) among the options too. An automatic tool length measurement function, which can measure up to 12 tool lengths from one button, is also optional. Tool load monitoring, which watches each tool and detects breakage, is described without an option mark.
