Arclight Dynamics Arc Max Ultra 5x10 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Arclight Dynamics Arc Max Ultra 5x10 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Arclight Dynamics or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

With a 62 x 124 in cutting envelope and 6.5 in of Z, the Arclight Dynamics Arc Max Ultra 5x10 takes a full 5 x 10 plate with a couple of inches to spare. It is the heavy-frame Arc Max table running Arclight CNC software. Of the Arc Max sizes this one balances capacity against floor space for most plate shops.

The Arc Max frame is welded as one unit from 3 x 3 in steel tubing with a 3/16 in wall, then powder coated. On top of that mass sits a low-mass aluminum dual-drive gantry with 8.5 in of clearance, on Hiwin 20 mm precision linear guide rails. A heavy base under a light gantry is what lets the torch change direction quickly without shaking the table. Arclight lists 0.001 in positioning accuracy and rates the table for 2 in mild steel. The slat surface is flush with the table sides, and built-in rollers help slide plate on.

Listed weight is 2,350 lb and the water pan holds 300 gallons. The base measures 70 x 133 in, with overall dimensions of 88 in L x 143 in W x 60 in H. A 5 x 10 plate at the thick end of the rating weighs far more than a person can shift, which is why the frame has loading rollers and why a crane or forklift should reach the loading side.

The water table is unusually deep: an 8 1/2 in pan in 12g steel, with an expanded metal barrier partway down so small parts do not sink to the bottom, and twin 1.25 in ball valve drains. Arclight says it captures 90% of smoke and dust. Control is by Arclight CNC software on industrial Linux over Ethernet, with torch height control, dynamic voltage sampling, cut-path rewind, start point recovery and auto rip cut. A plasma cutter is added when the table is configured.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What plate size does the Arc Max Ultra 5x10 take?

Up to 5 x 10: the cutting envelope is 62 x 124 in, with 6.5 in of Z. Built-in rollers in the frame help slide plate onto the slats.

02 What control does the Arc Max Ultra run?

Arclight CNC software on industrial Linux with Ethernet communications. Torch height control and dynamic voltage sampling are standard, and the software offers fast forward and rewind on the cut path, start point recovery on power-down, plate skew and auto rip cut.

03 What are the dimensions of the Arc Max Ultra 5x10?

Base 70 x 133 in; overall 88 in L x 143 in W x 60 in H. The table is listed at 2,350 lb and its water pan holds 300 gallons. Table power is 110 V at 15 to 20 A.

04 Does the Arc Max Ultra arrive assembled?

Arclight lists the table as shipping fully assembled. The frame is one welded unit, so plan the delivery route and unloading equipment around the overall dimensions and weight of the size ordered.
