Overview
The ShopSabre SideKick 4 is a 4x4 CNC plasma table on a welded six-leg steel frame, with a 52 x 49 in (1,321 x 1,245 mm) cut area and a footprint of 81 x 70 x 67 in (2,057 x 1,778 x 1,702 mm). It is the smallest of four SideKick sizes and the one that fits a fabrication corner, a school shop or a garage bay.
Most small plasma tables are bolted together from extrusion. ShopSabre makes a point of not doing that here: frame and gantry are structural steel tube, welded and milled, and the machine arrives assembled. The practical gain is that a table which is square when it leaves the factory stays square when plate is dropped on it, and that a router package can be added to the same gantry later for wood and plastic.
Cutting capacity is listed as up to 2 in (51 mm), with oxy-fuel recommended for anything over 1 in (25 mm). Read that as a statement about the table, not about the plasma source.
