Compared with the TECHSTER 84 the gain is reach, not muscle. The TECHSTER 84 lists 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of traverse, 450 mm (17.7 in) of cross travel and a 500 mm (19.7 in) centre height on the same spindle and wheel. So the 104 is the choice when the part is longer or the setup taller, while the rate of stock removal stays where it was.
