Accuway GX-100

Two spindles, gang tooling and a built-in loader make the Accuway GX-100 a small production cell for parts no bigger than a fist. Both spindles are identical: A2-5 nose, 5 in chuck, 6,000 rpm, 5.5/7.5 kW (7.4/10.1 hp).

There is no turret. The tooling system row reads Gang, so the tools stand in a row on the slide and the machine changes tools by moving sideways instead of indexing. That is why X travel, 210 mm (8.3 in), is long for the part size, and why tool changes are quick: nothing has to unclamp and rotate. Tool shanks are 20 mm (0.8 in) square and 25 mm (1.0 in) round.

The Z travel is given as 310 mm (12.2 in), with ±155 mm (±6.1 in) in brackets, a stroke measured both ways from a centre position. That fits a layout with the two spindles served from one slide. Maximum turning diameter is 50 mm (2.0 in) at SP1 and at SP2, and the turning length is 60 mm (2.4 in). Guideways are linear, and rapids are 18 m/min (709 in/min) in X and 24 m/min (945 in/min) in Z.

The integrated loader, a standard accessory, carries material of 10~50 mm (0.4~2.0 in) in diameter and 20~60 mm (0.8~2.4 in) in length at 84 m/min (3,307 in/min). Spindle air blow is standard too. The cell is 2.7 x 2.0 x 2.4 m (106.3 x 78.7 x 94.5 in) and 3,200 kg (7,055 lb). Gripper blanks are an optional accessory.
