Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Yawei PBH(A)-400/4100 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Yawei PBH(A)-400/4100 is the lightest of the three four-metre machines in the PBH(A) table and the first with the deeper frame: 4,000 kN of nominal force on a 4,100 mm (161.4 in) table, with a 510 mm (20.1 in) throat.
The PBH(A)-300/5100 and every lighter model have a 410 mm (16.1 in) throat; from this model on it is 510 mm (20.1 in). Stroke and opening grow too, to 315 mm (12.4 in) and 520 mm (20.5 in). In practice that means a plate brake. Force per metre is the highest so far in the range, and the daylight suits the wide V-dies that thick plate calls for.
Four metres is the bed length. Column spacing is 3,200 mm (126.0 in), so three-metre plate passes between the frames with room to spare and four-metre plate works within the throat. Slider speeds are 110 mm/s; 8.5 mm/s; 100 mm/s, a little slower on approach than the lighter models, driven by a 30 kW (40.2 hp) motor.
One figure stands out. The oil tank is listed at 1,300 L, more than the 1,050 L of the longer PBH(A)-400/5100. Yawei gives no reason, and a buyer should ask which is right.
Weight is printed as 27,000 / 25,000 kg (59,524 / 55,115 lb) and the machine measures 4,400 x 2,150 x 3,480 mm (173.2 x 84.6 x 137.0 in). The series description mentions cylinders on spherical floating supports with a guided piston rod for off-centre loading, relevant where short heavy parts are bent at one side of the bed.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 4,000 kN on a compact 4,100 mm (161.4 in) table
- Throat opening of 510 mm (20.1 in), deeper than on the PBH(A)-300/5100
- 315 mm (12.4 in) stroke with 520 mm (20.5 in) opening height
- 30 kW (40.2 hp) main motor
- Smallest footprint in the PBH(A) table
Limitations
- 3,200 mm (126.0 in) between columns limits full-depth parts to about three metres
- Approach speed of 110 mm/s, below the lighter models
- Oil tank volume of 1,300 L looks inconsistent with the longer sibling
- No three-metre version on the page

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Nominal force is 4,000 kN over a 4,100 mm (161.4 in) table. The throat opening is 510 mm (20.1 in), the slider stroke 315 mm (12.4 in) and the maximum opening height 520 mm (20.5 in).
02
For plate. It has more force on a shorter bed, a 510 mm (20.1 in) throat and 315 mm (12.4 in) of stroke. The PBH(A)-300/5100 lists a 410 mm (16.1 in) throat and 265 mm (10.4 in) of stroke, on a longer table.
03
The table prints 1,300 L. That is more than the PBH(A)-400/5100, which lists 1,050 L, so the figure is worth confirming with the supplier.
04
The total weight row reads 27,000 / 25,000 kg (59,524 / 55,115 lb), with no explanation of the two values. Overall dimensions are 4,400 x 2,150 x 3,480 mm (173.2 x 84.6 x 137.0 in).
