Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Yawei PBG-160/4100 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Yawei PBG-160/4100 extends the dual servo PBG concept to a four-metre bed at 1,600 kN. Bending length is 4,100 mm (161.4 in) and the columns stand 3,600 mm (141.7 in) apart.
Two servo-driven pumps, one for each cylinder, are a good match for a long machine. With a pump for each cylinder, the two sides of the ram are driven separately. Yawei's own description is more general: fast speed, high efficiency, and pressure control that saves energy. The drive is rated 2 x 7.9 kW.
Oil volume is the striking number. The table lists 2 x 60 L; the conventional PBC-160/4100 has a 400 L tank. Less oil means less to change and less to heat, and the pipeless design leaves fewer places for it to escape.
Slider speeds are 220 mm/s; 18 mm/s; 200 mm/s. The frame offers a 410 mm (16.1 in) throat, a 215 mm (8.5 in) stroke and a 550 mm (21.7 in) mould height. Weight is 10,500 kg (23,148 lb), less than the 11,900 kg (26,235 lb) of the PBC-160/4100, and the overall size 4,690 x 1,500 x 2,850 mm (184.6 x 59.1 x 112.2 in). The PBG page says nothing about bed crowning, which on a four-metre machine is the first thing to ask about.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 1,600 kN over 4,100 mm with a 2 x 7.9 kW dual servo drive
- Oil tank volume of 2 x 60 L, against 400 L on the PBC-160/4100
- 3,600 mm (141.7 in) between columns
- Lighter than the PBC-160/4100 at 10,500 kg (23,148 lb)
- Pipeless structure with fewer leak points
Limitations
- Crowning is not described, which matters at four metres
- Stroke of 215 mm (8.5 in); the PBC-160/4100 has 265 mm (10.4 in)
- Mould height of 550 mm (21.7 in)
- Energy and oil savings are not quantified
