Yasda YBM 7T — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Yasda YBM 7T that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Yasda Precision or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The Yasda YBM 7T is the smallest of the four precision centers, the horizontal machines Yasda calls mother machines for their thermal stability and durability. It has a 630 mm square table, a table working size of 630 x 630 mm (24.8 x 24.8 in), and travels of 950 mm (37.4 in) in X, 800 mm (31.5 in) in Y and 800 mm (31.5 in) in Z.

A mother machine is one that makes the parts of other machines: housings, gearboxes, spindle heads and the like, where bores on opposite faces have to line up after hours of cutting. The specification follows from that. Two pallets are standard, so one part can be clamped and checked while the other is cut, and the travels exceed the pallet by a wide margin in every axis so that long boring bars can clear the workpiece.

No other model in the group has as many spindle choices. The base unit runs 50-10,000 min-1 on MAS BT50. A high-torque spindle of 60-6,000 min-1 and a high-speed spindle of 60-15,000 min-1 keep the BT50 taper. A second high-speed spindle runs 200-20,000 min-1 with MAS BT40, which only the two smaller precision centers offer. The choice decides whether the machine is set up for iron castings or for lighter, faster work in aluminium housings.

The ATC holds 60 tools, with 90 tools or 120-450 tools as options, and the APC can grow from 2 pallets to 6PLS. Stroke extension to a total of 1,000 mm in Y and 1,100 mm in Z is available. The control is a FANUC 31i-B5 Plus; machine height is 3,145 mm (123.8 in).

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Four spindle choices, from 60-6,000 min-1 high-torque to 200-20,000 min-1 high-speed
  • Travels of 950 x 800 x 800 mm around a 630 x 630 mm (24.8 x 24.8 in) table
  • 2 pallets as standard, 6PLS as an option
  • Tool storage from 60 tools up to 120-450 tools
  • Optional stroke extension to Y 1,000 mm and Z 1,100 mm total length

Limitations

  • The 200-20,000 min-1 spindle changes the taper to MAS BT40, so tooling is not shared with the BT50 spindles
  • The base spindle stops at 10,000 min-1
  • Machine height of 3,145 mm (123.8 in) before options
  • No table load or spindle power figures are published on the product page

Best For

Precision boring of housings and gearboxes on a 630 mm pallet Machine-tool components that need bores aligned across faces Mixed production on 2 pallets or a 6PLS pallet system Aluminium housings, with the 200-20,000 min-1 spindle

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What size is the Yasda YBM 7T?

It has a 630 mm square table and travels of 950 mm (37.4 in) in X, 800 mm (31.5 in) in Y and 800 mm (31.5 in) in Z. Optional stroke extension brings Y to a total of 1,000 mm and Z to 1,100 mm.

02 Which spindles can be ordered on the YBM 7T?

The base spindle is 50-10,000 min-1 with MAS BT50. Options are a 60-6,000 min-1 high-torque spindle and a 60-15,000 min-1 high-speed spindle, both MAS BT50, and a 200-20,000 min-1 high-speed spindle with MAS BT40.

03 How many pallets and tools does the YBM 7T have?

The base machine has an APC with 2 pallets and an ATC with 60 tools. Options are a 6PLS pallet system and tool storage of 90 tools or 120-450 tools.

04 How does the YBM 7T differ from the YBM 7Ti?

The YBM 7T is the precision center with a 630 mm square table and 2 pallets as standard. The YBM 7Ti is a 5-axis machine with longer travels of 1,250 mm, 1,000 mm and 1,100 mm. Both start with a 50-10,000 min-1 MAS BT50 spindle and 60 tools.
