How much does the Biesse Tekni Cut Up J G cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Biesse Tekni Cut Up J G that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Biesse Tekni Cut Up J G is a gantry-style waterjet system sold in six sizes, three of them 3-axis and three 5-axis. The 3-axis machines cut 4,000 x 2,000 mm (157.5 x 78.7 in), 4,750 x 2,350 mm (187.0 x 92.5 in) and 6,100 x 3,050 mm (240.2 x 120.1 in). The 5-axis machines cut 3,650 x 2,000 mm (143.7 x 78.7 in), 4,415 x 2,025 mm (173.8 x 79.7 in) and 5,800 x 2,730 mm (228.3 x 107.5 in).
Read the two lists side by side. Each 5-axis size has a somewhat smaller cutting area than the 3-axis size nearest to it, and carries its own size code. Anyone sizing the machine to a standard plate format should therefore start from the axis count and then check whether the plate still fits. The 3-axis sizes are listed in the Start configuration and the 5-axis sizes in the Regular configuration.
On the 5-axis sizes the head rotates continuously, and its direct drive tilting and rotating axes position to ±0.1°. An integrated height detector measures stand-off before piercing and follows material flatness in Z. Positional precision is stated as 0.05 mm and repeatability as 0.025 mm with linear scale feedback.
Pump choice is the same three-way split as on the Tekni Cut Up J M: 4,550 bar with 3.8 l/min from 37 kW (49.6 hp), 4,550 bar with 7.6 l/min from the 74 kW (99.2 hp) dual pump, or 6,000 bar with 3.0 l/min from 40 kW (53.6 hp). Above this range sits the Tekni Cut Pro J L with a 10,000 x 3,000 mm (393.7 x 118.1 in) cutting area.

- Integrated diagnostics with sensors on the oil, water and air circuits for predictive maintenance
Limitations
- The largest 5-axis cutting area, 5,800 x 2,730 mm (228.3 x 107.5 in), is smaller than the largest 3-axis one
- The 6,000 bar pump is limited to 3.0 l/min
- Axis speed is stated as up to 17.5 m/min
- Z stroke, table load and machine weight are not published

Frequently Asked Questions

Six. The 3-axis sizes are 2040, 2347 and 3061, cutting 4,000 x 2,000 mm (157.5 x 78.7 in), 4,750 x 2,350 mm (187.0 x 92.5 in) and 6,100 x 3,050 mm (240.2 x 120.1 in). The 5-axis sizes are 2036, 2044 and 2758, cutting 3,650 x 2,000 mm (143.7 x 78.7 in), 4,415 x 2,025 mm (173.8 x 79.7 in) and 5,800 x 2,730 mm (228.3 x 107.5 in).

The page does not explain it. It simply lists the 5-axis machines as separate sizes with their own cutting areas, each a little smaller than the nearest 3-axis size. Plan from the figures: if a 4,000 x 2,000 mm (157.5 x 78.7 in) plate must be cut with bevels, the 3,650 x 2,000 mm (143.7 x 78.7 in) 5-axis size does not cover its full length.
03
Three. Power series ESP 37/66: 4,550 bar, 3.8 l/min, 37 kW. Power series ESP 74/66 (dual pump): 4,550 bar, 7.6 l/min, 74 kW. Ultimate series UP 40/6000: 6,000 bar, 3.0 l/min, 40 kW. On a large table, where long cuts add up, the flow of the dual pump or the pressure of the Ultimate pump decides throughput.
04
Biesse describes it as a gantry-style system built for continuous operation and highly configurable. Supporting that, the page lists an integrated diagnostics system with sensors on the oil, water and air circuits for predictive maintenance, a band drive designed for abrasive environments and protective bellows.
