Overview

The Starrag Dorries VT Series is a family of single-column vertical turning lathes (VTLs) for multifunctional, high-precision pre- and finish-machining of medium-to-large rotation-symmetric components. The VT Series leverages the century-old Dorries name synonymous with precision vertical turning.

Available in three primary sizes: VT 14 (1,250 mm table), VT 20 (1,800 mm table), and VT 28 (2,500 mm table). Max workpiece diameter: 2,800 mm (110 in), max height: 2,650 mm (104 in), max weight: 17,000 kg (37,479 lb).

Beyond turning, the VT supports drilling, milling, and grinding for complete machining in a single setup. This reduces setups, minimizes re-clamping errors, and shortens lead times.
