Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Spinner TTS125 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
A 125 mm (4.9 in) bar capacity sets the Spinner TTS125 apart from every other TTS lathe. It is a multi-turret machine on a 90-degree inclined bed with a 585 mm (23.0 in) maximum turning diameter, a maximum chuck part diameter of approx. 500 mm (19.7 in) and a turret row that reads 2 - 4.
The comparison that matters is with the TTS85, because the two share most of their table. Both list 310 mm (12.2 in) of X travel, 200 mm (7.9 in) of Y, a spindle distance of 1,500 mm (59.1 in) and BMT45 or BMT65 tooling. Against the TTS85 two rows change: bar capacity rises from 85 mm (3.3 in) to 125 mm (4.9 in), and the chuck part diameter from approx. 300 mm (11.8 in) to approx. 500 mm (19.7 in). The TTS125 is the version for big stock and big chucked parts, and nothing in the table suggests it gains travel.
Bar of that size is heavy, and so is a chucked part of 500 mm (19.7 in), so loading deserves as much thought as cutting. Spinner lists Robobox XL as the automation. The table gives no part weight for it, no spindle speed and no spindle power. On a machine meant for stock of this class those are the first three figures to ask for.
The turret versions are named Duplex, Twin, Triplex and Quadrex. Up to two Y axes with a ±100 mm stroke are listed, and the second end is a CNC tailstock or a sub-spindle. The control is Siemens or Fanuc.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 125 mm (4.9 in) bar capacity, against 85 mm (3.3 in) on the TTS85
- Maximum chuck part diameter of approx. 500 mm (19.7 in) inside a 585 mm (23.0 in) turning diameter
- 2 - 4 turrets in Duplex, Twin, Triplex or Quadrex versions
- Up to two Y axes and 200 mm (7.9 in) of Y travel
- Robobox XL automation is listed, and tooling is BMT45 or BMT65
Limitations
- X travel is 310 mm (12.2 in), the same as on the TTS85, so the bigger bore brings no extra cross travel
- No spindle speed or power figure is stated, which matters more than usual on a 125 mm (4.9 in) bore
- Spinner's table gives no maximum turning length, only a spindle distance of 1,500 mm (59.1 in)
- CNC tailstock and sub-spindle are listed as alternatives

Frequently Asked Questions
01
125 mm (4.9 in). Parts that are chucked instead of bar-fed can be up to approx. 500 mm (19.7 in) in diameter, and the maximum turning diameter is 585 mm (23.0 in). Spinner's table does not state the spindle speed or power that goes with this bore.
02
They are separate limits. 585 mm (23.0 in) is the maximum turning diameter. Approx. 500 mm (19.7 in) is the maximum chuck part diameter, the size of part Spinner states for chuck work. Plan chucked parts around the smaller figure and confirm clearances for anything close to it.
03
In bar capacity and chuck part diameter. The TTS125 lists 125 mm (4.9 in) and approx. 500 mm (19.7 in), where the TTS85 lists 85 mm (3.3 in) and approx. 300 mm (11.8 in). X travel, Y travel, spindle distance, turret count and tooling are listed identically for both.
04
Spinner lists Robobox XL. The table gives no capacity or part-weight figure for it. Since this machine takes bar up to 125 mm (4.9 in) and chucked parts up to approx. 500 mm (19.7 in), check the automation against the heaviest part you intend to load.
05
Yes. Y travel is 200 mm (7.9 in), and up to two Y axes with a ±100 mm stroke are listed. X travel is 310 mm (12.2 in). No driven-tool speed or power is given in the table, so request those figures for milling work.
