Overview
The Palmary OCD-4220P pairs the biggest swing of the P series, Ø420 mm (16.5 in), with the shortest center distance, 200 mm (7.9 in). It is a CNC plunge cylindrical grinder with angular wheelhead for large, short, shouldered parts up to Ø400 mm (15.7 in).
Think of flywheels, brake and clutch components, large gear blanks on arbors and bearing housings: wide faces next to a ground diameter. An angled wheel suits those because it can cut the diameter and the face in the same infeed. The page does not give the wheelhead angle, so ask for it against your shoulder heights.
