OMAX GlobalMax 1530

The OMAX GlobalMax 1530 is a sheet-size waterjet with 10′ x 5' (3.04 m x 1.53 m) of X-Y cutting travel, 5″ (127 mm) of Z travel and a listed speed of 500 in/min (12.7 m/min). The table is 10′ 2″ x 5' 5″ (3.10 m x 1.65 m).

Three rows show where it differs from the sibling closest to it in table size. The 55100 Jet Machining Center, with a 10′ 6″ x 5' 5″ (3.20 m x 1.65 m) table, lists 8″ (203 mm) of Z travel and a table load of 400 lbs/sq ft (1,950 kg/sq meter). Read together, those figures describe a machine for sheet and moderate plate. A table load of 100 lbs/sq ft (488 kg/sq meter) is a quarter of the sibling's rating, so thick steel plate covering the bed needs to be worked out against that limit before it is loaded.
