How much does the WardJet J-128 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the WardJet J-128 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The WARDJet J-128 is the larger J-Series water-only waterjet. Its cutting area is 96" x 153", it mounts up to 4 Z-carriages, and it feeds material through on a chain conveyor at speeds up to 2500 in/min.
A 96" beam is the reason to step up from the J-106. Four heads spread across that width can each cut a lane of parts from wide stock in one pass, and a spreader bar, one of the listed J-Series options, holds the heads at a set pitch. On repeated shapes, output scales with the number of heads long before traverse speed becomes the limit.
Traverse speed is high all the same: 0.01 in/min - 2500 in/min (0.25 mm/min - 63.5 m/min) on a high precision rack and pinion. WARDJet points out that water-only work tends to be high-volume, so the move from one part to the next is a large share of the cycle. Accuracy is ± 0.010" per axis (± 0.25 mm per axis) and repeatability ± 0.005" per axis, figures suited to soft materials.
The machine is 40' 4" x 13' (12.3 m x 3.9 m) overall. Under the chain is a sloped tank that sends water and debris to a central drain, and WARDJet offers recirculating washdown, paper bed filtration and closed loop systems downstream of it. Z-axis travel is 10" (0.25 m), and the gantry runs on 230V 30 amps, Three Phase with IKUHLU and WARDCAM software.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 96" x 153" cutting area for wide stock
- Up to 4 Z-carriages, with spreader bars available to set head spacing
- 2500 in/min (63.5 m/min) top speed on a rack and pinion drive
- Chain feed over a sloped tank for cutting without stops between cycles
- Choice of wastewater handling: recirculating washdown, paper bed filtration or closed loop
Limitations
- Needs a 40' 4" x 13' (12.3 m x 3.9 m) floor area
- ± 0.010" per axis (± 0.25 mm per axis) accuracy; the L-3025 lists ± 0.003" per axis (± 0.08 mm per axis)
- Pure water only: no abrasive hopper is listed

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The table lists 96" x 153" for one carriage, with 10" (0.25 m) of Z-axis travel. The overall footprint, which includes the chain feed, is 40' 4" x 13' (12.3 m x 3.9 m).
02
Up to 4 Z-carriages. WARDJet lists multiple cutting heads, spreader bars and its 5-axis cutting head among the options available on the J-Series, so the head arrangement is decided when the machine is configured.
03
Linear positional accuracy is ± 0.010" per axis (± 0.25 mm per axis) and repeatability is ± 0.005" per axis. That suits foam, rubber and similar soft goods. Parts that need tighter positioning are better matched to a ballscrew or linear-drive machine.
04
WARDJet states that the J-Series tank design directs all water and debris to a central drain location. From there, recirculating washdown systems, paper bed filtration and closed loop systems are all available.
