Overview

The Nakamura-Tome AS-200L takes the AS-200 envelope and stretches it: the same 290 mm (11.4 in) turning diameter, but 570 mm (22.4 in) of turning length and 760 mm (29.9 in) between centers. It can also be ordered with a right-hand spindle, which changes it from a one-spindle lathe into a machine that can finish the back of a part in the same cycle.

The left spindle runs to 4,500 RPM and is rated 15/11 kW (20/15 hp), with an 8 in chuck and 65 mm (2.6 in) bar capacity, or 71 mm (2.8 in) on the Ø71 mm version.
