Overview
The Nakamura-Tome AS-200L is the long-bed variant of the AS-200 single-turret multitasking turning center, extending the maximum turning length to 570 mm (22.4 in) -- nearly double the standard AS-200. This additional Z-axis travel makes the AS-200L the right choice for longer shafts, valve bodies, and components that exceed the standard model while still requiring Y-axis milling and C-axis contouring.
The machine accommodates an 8-inch left chuck with an optional 6-inch right chuck for sub-spindle operation. Maximum turning diameter remains 290 mm (11.4 in). Bar capacity is 65 mm or 71 mm on the left spindle with an optional 42 mm right spindle. Distance between centers extends to 760 mm (optional).
The left spindle delivers 15/11 kW at 4,500 RPM. The optional right spindle provides 7.5/5.5 kW at 6,000 RPM for part transfer and back-working. The turret supports up to 24 stations on the dodecagonal drum or 15 dedicated live tool positions.
Milling capability includes 5.5/3.7 kW driven tools at 6,000 RPM with 82 mm Y-axis stroke. Rapid traverse rates are 24 m/min (X) and 36 m/min (Z). Machine dimensions are 1,935 x 2,716 x 1,805 mm (standard) or 3,160 mm width (MATA-BEI). FANUC 0i-TF Plus controller.
