MultiCam 1000 Series CNC Waterjet — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the MultiCam 1000 Series CNC Waterjet that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from MultiCam or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The MultiCam 1000 Series CNC Waterjet is a gantry waterjet table that MultiCam positions for a wide variety of thin materials, with tables from 60 x 120 in to 80 x 144 in (152 x 305 cm to 203 x 365 cm). Cut speed is listed at 1,000 IPM (25.5 m/min) and rapid traverse at 1,200 IPM (30.5 m/min).

Read the materials list before anything else. MultiCam names rubber, food, foam, vinyl and textile, and the head options are stated in pure water heads, up to four of them. Nothing on the product page mentions abrasive cutting. A shop that needs to cut plate, stone or glass should ask MultiCam directly whether this table can be configured for it, and should not assume so from the name.

The Z axis confirms the thin-material role. Travel is 6 in (15 cm) and clearance under the head is 4.5 in (11.5 cm), driven by a lead screw. X and Y use linear rack and pinion with dual-side brushless digital AC servo drives on 25 mm linear bearing profile rails, and repeatability is ±0.001 in (0.025 mm). For soft goods that precision is more than the material itself will hold, so the practical gain is consistent nesting from sheet to sheet.

The tank is part of the frame: an all-steel, stress-relieved, integral water tank design with access on three sides and integrated fork lift tubes for moving the machine. Two and three head configurations are options, which is how output is raised on gasket and foam work where one head would leave most of the table idle. A chiller for the intensifier and a closed-loop filtration system are also extras, so the base table needs its water supply and drain planned. The control is MultiCam EZ Control with Coreo BMO software, which lets an operator draw, program and cut in one program.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Multi-head options: two and three head configurations, or up to four pure water heads
  • Three-side cutting tank access on an all-steel, stress-relieved, integral water tank design
  • Cut speed of 1,000 IPM (25.5 m/min) with 1,200 IPM (30.5 m/min) rapid traverse
  • Tables from 60 x 120 in to 80 x 144 in (152 x 305 cm to 203 x 365 cm)
  • Integrated fork lift tubes make the table movable without special rigging points

Limitations

  • MultiCam's page describes pure water cutting of thin, soft materials and does not mention abrasive
  • Z-axis clearance is 4.5 in (11.5 cm), so tall or stacked work will not fit under the head
  • Chiller for the intensifier and closed-loop filtration system are options
  • No pump pressure or water flow figure is published for the series

Best For

Gasket cutting from rubber and similar sheet Foam, vinyl and textile parts with no heat-affected edge Food cutting with pure water heads High-volume soft-material work using two to four heads at once

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What materials is the MultiCam 1000 Series CNC Waterjet meant for?

Thin materials. MultiCam lists rubber, food, foam, vinyl and textile, and names gaskets, sign making, the food industry, automotive fabrication and aerospace as applications. Waterjet cutting leaves no heat-affected zone, which is the reason to use it on materials that would warp or melt under a thermal process.

02 Can the 1000 Series cut metal or stone with abrasive?

The product page does not say so. Its options are given in pure water heads, up to four, and its materials list is all soft goods. Treat abrasive capability as unconfirmed and ask MultiCam before planning any plate, stone or glass work on this table.

03 How many cutting heads can it carry?

The options list gives two and three head configurations and up to four pure water heads. On repeat parts such as gaskets, several heads cut the same nest side by side, so output rises without a faster feed. The base machine is a single-head table.

04 What are the table sizes and Z-axis figures?

Tables run from 60 x 120 in to 80 x 144 in (152 x 305 cm to 203 x 365 cm). Z-axis travel is 6 in (15 cm) and Z-axis clearance is 4.5 in (11.5 cm). The Z axis is driven by a lead screw; X and Y use linear rack and pinion on 25 mm linear bearing profile rails.

05 What control and software does it use?

MultiCam EZ Control with Coreo BMO software as standard. MultiCam describes Coreo as CAD/CAM software in which a business can draw, program and cut within the same program. A CNC computer interface station, an integrated CNC control air conditioner and further Coreo software packages are options.
