Overview

The Mazak INTEGREX i-100ST NEO is the most fully equipped version of the compact INTEGREX i-100 platform: a 6-inch-chuck mill-turn machine with a tilting B-axis milling head above, a matched second spindle facing it, and a 12-station lower turret. The S and T suffixes denote those two additions, and together they let the machine cut with two tools at once and finish both ends of a part without an operator handling it.

Both spindles are rated 11 kW (15 HP), 7.5 kW (10 HP) continuous, to 6,000 rpm on 6-inch chucks. Because the second spindle matches the main spindle exactly, back-end work runs at the same speeds and depths as the first operation rather than becoming the slow half of the cycle. Maximum machining length is 850 mm (33 in) on the single 850U bed, with Φ600 mm (Φ24 in) of maximum machining diameter for the upper head — but only Φ400 mm (Φ16 in) when the lower turret is in play. That second figure is the one to plan around on larger chucked work.

The upper milling spindle runs to 12,000 rpm at 12 kW (16 HP) and 57.3 N·m peak, 11 kW (15 HP) and 46.1 N·m continuous, through HSK-A63 or HSK-T63. The HSK-T option lets turning and milling tools share the 36-station magazine. The B axis covers -30° to +210° in 0.0001° increments. Upper travels are 535 mm (21 in) on X, 210 mm (8 in) on Y and 900 mm (35 in) on Z, with rapids of 48,000 mm/min (1,890 IPM) on X and 40,000 mm/min on Y and Z.

The lower turret carries 12 tools with a 20 mm (1 in) shank height and Φ32 mm (Φ1 in) boring bars, travelling 210 mm (8 in) on X2 and 900 mm (35 in) on Z2 at 40,000 mm/min. Those tool sizes describe its role precisely: OD roughing, grooving, threading and modest boring running concurrently with the milling head, not heavy work in its own right.

Magazine tools are limited to Φ90 mm, or Φ130 mm (Φ5 in) with adjacent pockets clear, 300 mm (12 in) long and 5 kg (11 lb). At 3,415 × 2,735 mm (134 × 108 in), 2,615 mm (103 in) tall and 11,530 kg (25,419 lb), the machine packs a complete small-part production cell into a compact footprint.
