Overview

The Mazak Dual Turn 200 is a symmetrical twin-spindle, twin-turret CNC turning center: two complete turning units facing each other inside one enclosure, sharing a base, a control and a chip system. The purpose of the layout is production density — two cuts running at once within a 3420 mm × 1795 mm footprint, 2090 mm tall.

Both spindles are identical: 8" chucks, 5000 rpm, 15 kW (20 HP) peak and 11 kW (15 HP) continuous, with 325 N·m of torque. Building both sides the same way is what makes the machine flexible. Either spindle can run either operation, so a part can be split front-op and back-op across the machine, or the same operation can simply be duplicated for straight parallel output. Maximum machining diameter is Φ320 mm.

Travels are short by design — 230 mm (9 in) in X and 500 mm (20 in) in Z.
