Overview
The Matsuura H.Plus-300 is the smallest H.Plus horizontal machining center, built on a 300 x 300 mm (11.8 x 11.8 in) pallet with 500 mm (19.7 in) of X, 560 mm (22.0 in) of Y and 500 mm (19.7 in) of Z. The part envelope is tall for that pallet: Ø 530 × H 760 mm (Ø 20.86 × H 29.92 in) with PC5 or PC15, and Ø 500 × H 760 mm (Ø 19.68 × H 29.92 in) with PC11. That makes it a machine for small parts stacked several high on a tombstone, or for slim, tall parts, rather than for wide plates.
It is also the fastest H.Plus as standard. The spindle runs to 15,000 rpm BT40, where the H.Plus-405 and H.Plus-504 start at 12,000 rpm, and a 20,000 rpm BT40 spindle is optional. HSK-A63 is offered in place of BT40. Power is 11 / 15 kW (15 / 20 hp) and torque 100 Nm, so the H.Plus-300 is set up for high spindle speed on aluminium and small steel parts rather than for heavy roughing.
Through-spindle coolant runs at 20 bar as standard and 70 bar as an option. The higher pressure is the one to choose for deep drilling and for clearing chips from pockets in tough materials. The magazine holds 40 tools as standard, with 60 and 90 optional; with a tombstone carrying several different parts, the 40-tool magazine runs out first.
