Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD PPED 320/30 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD PPED 320/30 concentrates the highest force of the PPED range, 3,200 kN, on its shorter bed of 3,050 mm (120.1 in). That makes it the PPED with the most force available per metre of working length.
It is a plate machine and it moves like one. Approach is 75 mm/s, working speed 8 mm/s and return 75 mm/s, the lowest set of speeds in the series. The motor is 22 kW, as on the PPED 260/30, and the tank holds 400 L. Where the PPED 260/30 approaches at 90 mm/s and bends at 10 mm/s, this one gives up pace for pressure.
There is one figure that does not rise with the force: the table load of 1,000 kN/m. LVD lists that same value for the smallest PPED. A short, thick part bent in the middle of the bed concentrates load on a short length of table, so the tooling plan and the table rating should be checked against each other before heavy narrow work is quoted.
Opening and stroke are the tall-frame values, 670 mm (26.4 in) and 300 mm (11.8 in). The table is 250 mm (9.8 in) wide, the gap 300 mm, the working height 1,000 mm (39.4 in). The uprights are 2,600 mm (102.4 in) apart.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 3,200 kN, the highest PPED force, on a 3,050 mm (120.1 in) bed
- 670 mm (26.4 in) open height with 300 mm (11.8 in) of stroke
- 250 mm (9.8 in) table for large die openings
- Runs on the same 22 kW motor as the PPED 260/30
- Crowning standard on PPED-5 and PPED-7 versions
Limitations
- Slowest PPED: 75 mm/s approach, 8 mm/s working, 75 mm/s return
- Table load is 1,000 kN/m despite the higher force
- 2,600 mm (102.4 in) between uprights
- No weight figure published for this series

Frequently Asked Questions
01
3,200 kN, which LVD's range description rounds to 320 tons, over a 3,050 mm (120.1 in) working length. The table is rated at 1,000 kN/m, so concentrated loads on short tools should be checked against that figure.
02
Both have a 22 kW motor. The PPED 260/30 lists 90 mm/s approach, 10 mm/s working and 80 mm/s return; this model lists 75, 8 and 75 mm/s. LVD gives no explanation, but the same motor is delivering more force here.
03
670 mm (26.4 in) between table and ram, a 300 mm (11.8 in) stroke and a table 250 mm (9.8 in) wide. LVD's PPED page does not specify tool clamping or tooling styles, so those should be settled in the quotation.
04
Yes, the PPED 320/40 carries 3,200 kN on a 4,000 mm working length, with 3,150 mm between the uprights and identical speeds.
