Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Honor Seiki VL-100CRM that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Honor Seiki VL-100CRM carries both of the upgrades found on its page: the 800 mm (31.4 in) turning height of the R models and the 50-2,250 rpm live spindle of the M models. Turning diameter is 1,200 mm (47.2 in) and the workpiece limit 3,500 kg (7,716 lb), as on the other three VL-100 columns of the Heavy Duty table.
That makes it the most capable machine below the VL-125. A part can be as tall as on the VL-100CR and can be drilled and milled as on the VL-100CM. For a shop that sees mixed work, deep housings one week and flanged rings with bolt circles the next, it removes the need to choose.
There are two gaps to close before ordering. First, the live spindle is specified by speed only; power, torque, taper and the count of driven stations among the 12 tool positions are not on the page. Second, Honor Seiki states that the VL-100C and VL-100CM have a fixed type crossrail and says nothing about the crossrail on the CR and CRM. The extra height suggests a different arrangement, and the buyer should have it described.
Standard equipment for the VL-100 size is a table with a manual 4-jaw chuck, a coolant tank with bed wash down, a hinge type chip conveyor and spindle orientation. Hydraulic chucking, high pressure coolant through the tool holder, a dual gearbox for the live tool spindle and X/Z linear encoders are options. The frame is the series' box way design in Meehanite iron.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The VL-100CRM has 800 mm (31.4 in) of turning height; the VL-100CM has 650 mm (25.5 in). Both have a 1,200 mm (47.2 in) turning diameter, a 3,500 kg (7,716 lb) load limit, 12 tool positions and a 50-2,250 rpm live spindle.
02
The table lists a live spindle speed of 50-2,250 rpm. Honor Seiki does not publish its power, torque or taper on the page. A dual gearbox for the live tool spindle is an optional accessory.
03
1,200 mm (47.2 in) in diameter, 800 mm (31.4 in) in height and 3,500 kg (7,716 lb) in weight. The next size up in the series, the VL-125CM, turns 1,600 mm (63.0 in) and carries 5,000 kg (11,023 lb).
04
The page does not say. Its standard accessories list names a fixed type crossrail for the VL-100C and VL-100CM only. The CR and CRM models are not mentioned in that line, so ask Honor Seiki to describe the crossrail on the VL-100CRM.
