Overview
The HNK VTC-80/100 puts the most powerful milling spindle of the VTC series over an 8,000 mm (315.0 in) table. The milling motor is A.C 45/55 kW (60.3/73.8 hp), cont/30min, at up to about 1,500 rpm with an ISO 50 taper. Only the VTC-100/160 matches it.
Everything about the machine is sized for parts that cannot go anywhere else. Swing and cutting diameter are 10,000 mm (393.7 in). Turning height is 6,000 mm (236.2 in). The table takes 350,000 kg (771,605 lb) and is turned by a D.C 265 kW (355.4 hp) motor at up to about 20 rpm in two steps. Moving such a part to a second machine for milling is rarely practical, which is the case for having the spindle here.
