Overview

The HNK HPF-30M (30x80) is the fixed-crossrail answer to a question HNK also solves with a moving rail. Both it and the HPM-30M (30x80) have a 3,000 x 8,000 mm (118.1 x 315.0 in) table, 8,250 mm (324.8 in) of X and 40,000 kg (88,183 lb) of load.

The HPM-30M adds 2,500 mm (98.4 in) of crossrail travel. The HPF-30M (30x80) has none, and its spindle end is never more than 1,200 mm (47.2 in) above the table. If the tallest part in the shop clears that, the fixed machine does the same work with a simpler structure. It also states its speed, 3,000 rpm, which the HPM-M table does not print cleanly.

Eight metres of table with a forty-tonne rating fits bed and base work: large machine-tool beds, rolling-stock underframe parts, press beds, long fixture plates. Y travel is 5,000 mm (196.9 in) between columns 4,000 mm (157.5 in) apart.

The ram is 400 x 400 mm (15.7 x 15.7 in) with 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of travel, 1,200 mm (47.2 in) in braces. The spindle is Ø130 mm (5.1 in), ISO No.50, driven by 30/37 kW (40.2/49.6 hp), cont/30min, with 37/45 kW (49.6/60.3 hp) in braces.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the difference between the HPF-30M (30x80) and the HPM-30M (30x80)?

The crossrail. The HPM-30M (30x80) has a W-axis of 2,500 mm (98.4 in) and is described as a five-face system. The HPF-30M (30x80) is fixed, with at most 1,200 mm (47.2 in) of daylight. Table, load, ram and spindle diameter match.

02 How fast is the HPF-30M (30x80) spindle?

3,000 rpm, on an ISO No.50 taper with a Ø130 mm (5.1 in) spindle. Motor power is 30/37 kW (40.2/49.6 hp), with 37/45 kW (49.6/60.3 hp) in braces.

03 What is the table load of the HPF-30M (30x80)?

40,000 kg (88,183 lb). The row is not starred in the HPF-M table, so HNK does not flag it as adjustable the way it does on the HPM series.

04 What are the travels of the HPF-30M (30x80)?

X 8,250 mm (324.8 in), Y 5,000 mm (196.9 in), Z 1,000 mm (39.4 in) with 1,200 mm (47.2 in) in braces. There is no W-axis.
