Overview
The HNK HPF-15M (15x30) is the smallest of HNK's multi-purpose fixed-crossrail double column machining centers. It has a 1,500 x 3,000 mm (59.1 x 118.1 in) table rated for 15,000 kg (33,069 lb) and a 3,000 rpm spindle.
HNK sells two fixed-rail lines, and the letters matter. The H line has a fast, light head for molds and chamber plates. The M line, this one, has a Ø130 mm (5.1 in) spindle, a motor of 30/37 kW (40.2/49.6 hp), cont/30min, with 37/45 kW (49.6/60.3 hp) in braces, and half the spindle speed. It is the general machine-shop version, meant for face milling, boring and drilling in steel and cast iron.
There is slightly more room under the spindle than on the H, at most 1,200 mm (47.2 in). Ram travel is 800 mm (31.5 in), with 1,000 mm (39.4 in) in braces. Travels are 3,250 mm (128.0 in) in X and 3,200 mm (126.0 in) in Y, between columns 2,200 mm (86.6 in) apart.
The taper is ISO No.50 and the ram 380 x 380 mm (15.0 x 15.0 in). Fanuc 31i-B and Siemens 840D are the listed controls.
