Overview
The GF Machining Solutions Mikron MILL S 400 U is a compact, ultra-high-speed 5-axis machining center for micro-precision mold/die work, medical tooling, and watch components. With travels of 500 x 245 x 360 mm (19.7 x 9.6 x 14.2 in), it trades envelope size for exceptional dynamic stiffness at spindle speeds up to 42,000 RPM.
The trunnion table accepts 25 kg (55 lb) on MacroMagnum 156 or ITS 148 pallets, with A-axis +110/-110 deg and continuous C-axis. The 220-deg range enables deep-cavity access without refixturing.
Standard 30,000 RPM Step-Tec/13.5 kW/HSK-E40 handles hardened steel finishing and graphite. Optional 42,000 RPM for micro-milling achieving Ra 0.05-0.1 um. Rapid: 61 m/min. Magazine: 68/168. TNC 7 or SINUMERIK ONE. At 7,000 kg. Pricing: $350,000-$550,000.
