GF Machining MIKRON MILL P 800 U S

The MIKRON MILL P 800 U S is the pallet-and-automation version of GF Machining Solutions' MILL P 800 gantry: 800 × 800 × 550 mm of travel, a System 3R Delphin 500 x 500 mm or Berg pallet system instead of a fixed table, and a magazine of 120 or 170 pockets. It is specified for mold and die shops that want to run unattended, and the table has no small-magazine or T-slot option at all.

Linear feed is 61 m/min, the figure the base Mikron MILL P 800 U reaches only in its dynamic version. Swivel and rotary speeds, however, are listed at 25 rpm and 35 rpm, the base machine's standard figures, so on heavily re-oriented 5-axis finishing this is not the quickest P 800 in the table. The swivel range is +91/-121° and the rotary turns n x 360°.

The spindle is the series STEP TEC unit at 20,000 rpm with HSK-A63, 36 kW and 120 Nm, with OptiCool limiting heat transfer into the structure. Load is listed as 500 / 1,000 kg. On a pallet system the pallet, its clamping and the part all count against that limit, so check which of the two figures applies to the Delphin and which to the Berg system.

Across the series GF offers Heidenhain TNC 640, TNC 7 or Siemens SINUMERIK ONE, a gantry design with water-cooled direct torque motors, and MSP spindle protection that deflects the spindle on a collision. For turning as well as milling on the same frame, the MIKRON MILL P 800 U ST adds a T-slot table radial Ø 730 rated 800 kg.
