Overview
The Yawei PBA-300/4100 is the largest press brake in Yawei's PBA series, with 3,000 kN of bending pressure over a bending length of 4,100 mm (161.4 in). It is an electro-hydraulic servo machine with a 22 kW (29.5 hp) main motor and a 600 L oil tank.
The PBA is an electro-hydraulic line. The synchronisation of the two cylinders is handled by a fully closed-loop electro-hydraulic servo control system that Yawei says is imported from Germany, and the worktable has mechanical crowning under CNC control. That second point matters on this model more than on any other in the series: 3,000 kN over four metres loads the bed heavily, and CNC crowning sets the correction from the program instead of leaving it to the operator.
At this force the frame is the large one. Slider stroke is 265 mm (10.4 in) and mould height 580 mm (22.8 in), against 215 mm (8.5 in) and 550 mm (21.7 in) on the PBA-220/4100. Throat depth is 410 mm (16.1 in) and there is 3,600 mm (141.7 in) between the columns.
