How much does the Soraluce FP60 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Soraluce FP60 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Soraluce FP60 is a 5-axis milling machine defined by its head: a mechanical universal head that contours in five axes and indexes in steps of 0.001° x 0.001°, carrying a 60 kW (80.5 hp) spindle that reaches 7000 rpm. Travels are 6000 mm (236.2 in) longitudinal in X, 3200 mm (126.0 in) vertical in Y and 1600 mm (63.0 in) cross in Z.
The head row matters more than the travels. It is listed as mechanical and as a contouring head, so angled faces and swept surfaces can be cut in a continuous path as well as at fixed angles. With 0.001° resolution on both head axes, any compound angle can be set from the program without a separate angle head, and the full 60 kW spindle rating is the only power figure Soraluce gives for the machine.
Three options change what the FP60 does. Rotary tables for a 4th and 5th axis come in multiple dimensions and traverses and carry up to 100 t. Pendulum machining is available, which splits the 6000 mm X axis into two zones so one part can be loaded while another is cut. A turning option is available as well. None of these belongs to the base figures, and the page gives no table size, table load or rapid rates, so those have to come from the quotation.
Tool capacity is 60 and the control is a Heidenhain TNC 640. Compared with the FS 8000, whose spindle is offered as 40 or 60 kW at 100% ED with 6,000 / 7,000 rpm, the FP60 sits at the upper end of that range and is listed with a single 6000 x 3200 x 1600 mm envelope instead of a menu of travels.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Mechanical 5-axis contouring universal head with 0.001° x 0.001° indexing
- 60 kW (80.5 hp) spindle with a maximum of 7000 rpm
- 3200 mm (126.0 in) of vertical travel with 6000 mm (236.2 in) longitudinal
- Optional 4th and 5th axis rotary tables rated up to 100 t
- Pendulum machining and a turning option are both available
Limitations
- Rotary tables, pendulum machining and turning are options, not part of the base machine
- Soraluce's page gives no spindle torque or taper for this model, so heavy-cut capability cannot be judged from the listed figures
- Tool capacity is listed as 60 with no larger magazine shown
- Cross travel is 1600 mm (63.0 in), which limits reach into deep parts

Frequently Asked Questions
01
6000 mm (236.2 in) longitudinal in X, 3200 mm (126.0 in) vertical in Y and 1600 mm (63.0 in) cross in Z. Soraluce lists them as single values, not as a range of sizes.
02
A mechanical 5-axis contouring universal head with indexing of 0.001° x 0.001°. It can hold a fixed compound angle or move both head axes during the cut. The spindle is rated 60 kW (80.5 hp) and 7000 rpm.
03
Yes, as an option. Soraluce lists 4th and 5th axis tables in multiple dimensions and traverses, carrying up to 100 t. Pendulum machining and a turning option are also listed as available.
04
The control is a Heidenhain TNC 640 and the listed tool capacity is 60. Soraluce's page shows no other magazine size for this model, so a job that needs more than 60 tools should be raised with the supplier.
