Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Masterwood Nesting KS that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Masterwood Nesting KS is a 3-axis nesting machining center offered in two table sizes. The NESTING 2131 KS has a working area of 3,100 x 2,150 x 100 mm and the NESTING 2242 KS one of 4,260 x 2,210 x 100 mm. Every other row of Masterwood's table is the same for both, so the choice comes down to the largest sheet you intend to nest.
The working head combines three things. An electrospindle of 13.2 kW on an HSK F 63 interface does the routing, fed from a 12-tool magazine with a maximum tool diameter of 80 mm. A drilling head carries 6 vertical spindles along X and 4 along Y. A blade of 120 mm makes cuts in X. For cabinet parts that split is practical: the outline is routed, the rows of holes are drilled without a tool change, and grooves are sawn instead of milled.
Axis speed is printed as 40/40/20 m/min for X, Y and Z. The table is divided into 6 vacuum areas, so a smaller sheet can be held without drawing air through the whole surface. With 100 mm of Z, the machine is sized for panels on a spoil board and not for thick solid-wood blanks.
Masterwood offers automatic loading and unloading systems and a manual end-of-line labeling device, and positions the series for stand-alone use as a production island or for integration into a line. The drilling head lists vertical spindles only, and the page gives no spindle speed, control name or machine weight.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Two table sizes: 3,100 x 2,150 mm on the NESTING 2131 KS and 4,260 x 2,210 mm on the NESTING 2242 KS
- 13.2 kW (17.7 hp) electrospindle on an HSK F 63 interface
- Drilling head with 6 vertical spindles in X and 4 in Y, plus a 120 mm blade for cuts in X
- Table divided into 6 vacuum areas
- Automatic loading and unloading systems are offered for stand-alone or in-line use
Limitations
- The tool magazine holds 12 tools
- Maximum tool diameter is 80 mm
- The drilling head lists vertical spindles only, so edge drilling is not covered
- Z height of the working area is 100 mm on both sizes

Frequently Asked Questions

Two. The NESTING 2131 KS has a working area of 3,100 x 2,150 x 100 mm and the NESTING 2242 KS has 4,260 x 2,210 x 100 mm. Spindle, drilling head, tool magazine and axis speeds are listed with the same figures for both.

Masterwood prints the X-Y-Z speed as 40/40/20 m/min. No acceleration or spindle speed is given on the page, so cycle-time estimates need more data from the maker than the table provides.
04
Masterwood says automatic loading and unloading systems and a manual end-of-line labeling device make the machines suitable for both stand-alone processing and integration into production lines. The table itself has 6 vacuum areas for holding sheets.
