Overview
The LVD PPEB 220/51 Plus is the tall-opening version of LVD's five-metre, 2,200 kN PPEB. It has a 5,100 mm (200.8 in) working length, 570 mm (22.4 in) of open height and a 300 mm (11.8 in) stroke, and it weighs 23,400 kg (51,587 lb).
Long sections with deep legs are the work it is made for. Lorry chassis rails, deep purlins, long machine guards and channel sections all fold up into the space above the die, and all need the punch to retract a long way before they can be lifted off. On the standard PPEB 220/51 the opening is 400 mm.
The table goes with the job: 200 mm (7.9 in) wide and rated at 2,500 kN/m, so a wide die sits properly along five metres.
