Overview
The Jainnher JHD-3205IU is the JHD-3205 double spindle grinder set up for serious outside diameter work. Its external wheel is 405 x 50 mm (15.9 x 2.0 in), running at 1,780 rpm. The JHD-3205IO, on the same base, has a 205 x 25 mm (8.1 x 1.0 in) wheel at 3,100 rpm.
A wheel twice the diameter and twice the width removes stock faster and holds its form longer between dressings, and Jainnher backs it with a 4-pole 3.75 kW (5 HP) motor, with 5.5 kW (7.5 HP) optional. The cost is reach. Maximum grinding length drops to 100 mm (3.9 in), half that of the IO version, because the big wheel takes up room in front of the chuck. Maximum grinding diameter is unchanged at 320 mm (12.5 in).
The internal side is the same as on its siblings: bores from Ø 6 to Ø 200, up to 150 mm deep, with a 3.75 kW (5 HP) spindle motor on the Z axis and the wheel chosen to suit. So is the rest of the machine, with an 8 in chuck, 130 kg (287 lb) of job weight and 500 mm (19.6 in) of X and Y stroke.
Choose between the two external-and-internal versions by looking at the part. A short, large-diameter seat with a bore behind it, such as a bearing journal on a hub or a flange register, is this machine's work. A longer stepped O.D. is not. Weight is 5,100 kg (11,243 lb).
