Overview
The Heller H 2000 is a horizontal machining center with 630 mm of travel in each of X, Y and Z and a 500 x 500 mm pallet, the entry size below the H 4000, H 5000 and H 6000. Heller also lists a 400 x 500 mm pallet as an option. The spindle interface is HSK-A 63.
The work envelope is larger than the pallet suggests. Heller gives a maximum workpiece of Ø 720 mm and 850 mm in height, so a fixture can overhang the 500 x 500 mm pallet and stand taller than the 630 mm of Y travel. The spindle cannot cover a part that tall in one setup. Read the height figure as what clears the machine, and the travels as what can be cut.
Table load is 550 kg as standard. Two higher figures, 650 kg and 800 kg, are listed in brackets as options, so the load rating has to be fixed when the machine is ordered. The weight of a tombstone and its clamping comes out of that figure before any parts go on.
Tool storage depends on the magazine type: up to 240 storage places with 4 chain-type magazines, or 324/498 places with 2 rack-type magazines. Coolant through the spindle is 50 bar, and 70 bar with frequency converter is an option. The control is a choice between Siemens SINUMERIK ONE and Fanuc 31iB-Plus.
