Overview

The Cincinnati XFORM 230XF10 is a heavy hydraulic press brake with a 12 ft (3,658 mm) overall die surface. It uses the same opening as the XFORM 175XF10, a 16 in (406 mm) stroke with 7 in (178 mm) closed and 23 in (584 mm) open heights, and the same 18 in (457 mm) throat.

Where it differs is under load. Forming speed is 35 ipm (889 mm/min) and return speed 430 ipm (10,922 mm/min); approach holds at 550 ipm (13,970 mm/min). In plate work the bend itself is a small part of the stroke, so a fast approach with a slower, controlled forming speed is the sensible arrangement, and it keeps the floor-to-floor time closer to the lighter machines than the forming figure alone suggests.

Heavy sections spring back unevenly and long beds deflect. The premium features Cincinnati lists for the XFORM, programmable crowning in particular, are worth pricing into a machine of this size from the start. A 5-axis backgage is part of the series equipment.
