Overview
The ANCA TX7 is a linear motor tool grinder on a bi-symmetrical gantry, built for larger shanks than the MX7: it is listed as productive up to Ø 32 mm (1¼”) where the MX7 stops at Ø 25 mm (1”). The collet chuck range is 3 – 32 mm and the spindle is rated 37 kW (49 HP) peak and 15 kW (20.1 HP) S1.
More tool diameter does not come with more spindle. The TX7's 37 kW peak is just under the 38 kW (51 HP) of the MX7, and its 15 kW S1 rating is below the MX7's 20 kW (27 HP) S1. The TX7 is chosen for the size of tool it accepts, not for a higher removal rate.
Wheel packs are listed at 2 x Ø 203 mm (8”) max, and a separate row gives an automatic wheel pack changer for up to 6 packs. The table does not say what wheel diameter applies with six packs, so ask before assuming all six can be full size. The linear motor axes are listed with acceleration of up to 1g.
RoboMate is the listed loader, as an option. Its capacity runs from 2520 x Ø 3 mm and 1560 x Ø 6 mm through 462 x Ø 16 mm and 189 x Ø 25 mm down to 105 x Ø 32 mm, so even at the largest shank one load is over a hundred tools.
The loader changes the floor plan. The dimension row gives 2561 mm (100.8”) W, 1500 mm (59”) D and 2272 mm (89.4”) H, with starred figures of 2643 mm (104”) W and 2260 mm (89”) D for the machine with RoboMate. The control row reads ANCA AMC5 with EtherCAT, 8GB RAM, a 64GB SSD, an i7 processor and Windows 8, where the MX7 row lists the AMC5 G2 with Windows 10. Confirm the control generation on the machine being quoted.
