Star SU is the sales organisation of Star Cutter Company, a cutting tool maker founded in Detroit, Michigan in 1927 that added CNC machines in the 1980s. Star Cutter builds 5-axis CNC tool and cutter grinders (NXT, FLX), the UTG Series broach and gear tool grinders and the TRU TECH centerless and cylindrical grinders in the USA; Star SU also sells gear cutting tools, round tools and other makers' gear machines.
