ALZMETALL is a German machine builder and foundry based in Altenmarkt, Bavaria, founded in 1945 and known first for industrial drilling machines, including radial, column and iTRONIC touchscreen drill presses. Its machine tool division builds the GS series of gantry-type vertical machining centres (GS 600 to GS 1400) in 3-axis, 5-axis torque-drive and hybrid milling-turning (FDT) versions, with subsidiaries in the US and China.
