Overview

The Nakamura-Tome NTRX-300L is the long-bed variant of the NTRX-300, extending the machining envelope to 1,600 mm (63.0 in) turning length while retaining the full dual-spindle, dual-turret, B-axis milling spindle architecture. Maximum distance of 1,850 mm between spindles accommodates long shafts, propeller shafts, landing gear components, and extended valve bodies.

The left spindle accepts 65 mm standard up to 90 mm optional bar stock at 2,500-4,500 RPM with 15/11 kW (22/18.5 kW optional). The right spindle runs at 2,500 RPM or can be replaced with a tailstock. NC steady rest available for long slender workpieces.

The B-axis swivels 240 degrees (+/-120 degrees), wider than the standard NTRX-300. The 40-tool ATC (expandable to 60, 80, or 120) feeds the B-axis, with long-tool ATC for 3 tools at 65 mm x 450 mm. Max turning diameter 640 mm. Fanuc 31i-B5. New machines $450,000-$650,000.
